Overview
Step-Over Platform - For safe access over low bund walls, pipework and cables.
A freestanding anti-slip step-over platform designed to help eliminate trip hazards associated with low lying pipework, tubes, cable trays, wires or any similar obstacles.
Suitable for flat surfaces, our Step-over platforms do not require fixing into the ground and are designed to work both indoors and outdoors.
Our unique step over platforms use Safe Tread non-slip GRP Grating and are edged with high visibility non-slip nosing, designed for rooftop walkways, low/ground level services, in all industries from hospital basements and rooftops to chemical plants and bunded tank areas.
Our platforms are constructed by us in the UK using entirely GRP, including the supporting I-beams, grating and high-visibility nosing. GRP is known for strength and durability with a lifetime of 20+ years.

Anti-spark / Anti-static
Very easy to install due to its relatively lightweight construction (circa half the weight of steel versions) and once in place, can simply be left and forgotten as there's no ongoing maintenance needed.
Standard product available in Grey with yellow nosing at 38mm thickness.

Open Mesh GRP Grating
Designed to be long lasting with a high strength to weight ratio. Moulded Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) grating is formed using continuous interwoven glass fibres as reinforcement material and resin as the matrix with continuous solidification through a mould system. The uniform construction provides excellent bi-directional mechanical properties.
Slip resistant
Anti-slip gritted grating has quartz crystal bonded to the top surface ensuring an extremely durable and slip resistant surface. This type of grating has one of the highest degrees of slip resistance measured for a walking surface.
A laboratory slipperiness assessment was undertaken by the Health & Safety Laboratory (UK) in accordance with guidelines recommended by United Kingdom Slip Resistance Group (Issue 2,2000) and protocols outlined in BS 7976:2.

Corrosion and chemical resistant
Corrosion is a major problem within industries such as chemical, steel, food and beverage, water and wastewater, power – the list goes on. GRP Grating is particularly designed to provide safe, long-lasting, economical and worry-free solutions in environments where chemicals and other corrosives attack metal, wood and similar materials.
All grating products listed have a Type O - Orthophthalic Polyester resin finish. Depending on the environment, resins such as Isophthalic polyester, or Vinylester may be used in the manufacture of our Grating.

Fire resistant
GRP Grating has been tested in accordance with the ASTM E–84 tunnel test. Depending on the resin type it achieves a Class 1 flame spread rating of between 5–25 or less.
